Supported file formats

RiverScript allows transcription of audio and video files in most common formats. For decoding files, RiverScript uses the FFmpeg library and supports all formats that FFmpeg can recognize. RiverScript guarantees support for 28 formats, including:

• 15 audio formats (MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, WMA, M4A, Opus, AIFF, ALAC, APE, M4B, WavPack, AC3, AMR)
• 13 video formats (MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, WMV, WebM, FLV, M4V, MPEG, 3GP, TS/MTS, VOB)

Additionally, files in more than 100 other formats and codecs available for decoding by FFmpeg are usually supported, though not guaranteed. The full list of all formats and codecs supported by FFmpeg can be found at the following link: FFmpeg supported formats.
