Transcript sharing
RiverScript allows you to share transcripts with others or send them to yourself. To share a transcript, click the Share button in the bottom-right corner under the text editor. After clicking the button and confirming, a link to the transcript will be generated on a separate web page accessible to anyone who has the link. In the sharing window, you can also choose to share via Email, Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Reddit, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook.
The transcript sharing feature is closely connected to the RiverScript referral program, where users can receive bonuses in the form of transcription hours and AI credits. The availability of shared transcript pages can be configured in the Shared & Referrals menu. In the Shared Transcripts section, users can enable indexing of their shared transcripts by search engines such as Google. By default, this option is disabled, and search engines are not allowed to index shared transcripts. Each RiverScript user has a unique referral link. When other users register via this link and complete their first transcription, the referring user receives a bonus.
Each shared transcript page includes a RiverScript logo at the bottom, containing the owner’s referral link. Therefore, if indexing is enabled and a shared transcript is indexed by search engines, there is a possibility that the referral link may spread across the internet, generating additional bonuses. However, by default, indexing is disabled for privacy reasons, and shared transcripts are accessible only via the generated link.
In the Shared Transcripts section, a view counter is available to track the number of views for each shared transcript.
Each shared transcript can be deleted at any time by clicking the Delete button on the shared transcript panel in the Shared & Referrals page. When deleted from this menu, the transcript itself remains available in the user’s file list; it simply stops being shared and is no longer accessible via link. However, if the transcript is deleted from the file list, it is permanently removed.
