Transcribe Live Recording

Transcribe everything you can hear on your computer.

RiverScript allows users to capture and transcribe audio directly from their computer. This feature is available only in the RiverScript Desktop client, which supports Windows 10 and later, as well as macOS 13 Ventura and later.

The application can record all system audio output regardless of the source application. No special permissions from individual programs are required, as the audio is captured directly from the computer’s audio output. This enables RiverScript to record sound from browsers, media players, video calls, and any other applications running on the system.

The maximum allowed duration for desktop live audio recording is 4 hours. This limit acts as a safeguard against excessive usage costs in case the user forgets to stop the recording. After 4 hours, the recording automatically stops, and the user is prompted to either send it for transcription or save it locally for further editing or trimming. If a longer recording is needed, it is recommended to start a new recording after transcribing the previous one. The recording can be paused and resumed at any time during capture.

RiverScript supports speech recognition in multiple languages, depending on the user’s subscription plan. The full list of supported languages can be found here: Supported languages.

Speaker diarization is available only for the Premium Sync Model.
