Built-in Text Editor

Both the RiverScript web application and desktop client include a built-in TipTap text editor with custom RiverScript extensions. The editor can be used to edit transcripts and export them in various formats.

Keyboard Shortcuts

The editor uses StarterKit, the standard TipTap extension package.

Transcript editing is available for media files up to 3 hours in duration. For recordings longer than 3 hours, the editor is automatically disabled to prevent excessive memory usage on the user's device. If editing transcripts longer than 3 hours is required, it is recommended to export the transcript and edit it using an external text editor.

The built-in editor includes custom RiverScript extensions such as clickable timestamps, color-coded speaker labels with speaker renaming support, and transcript export functionality.
