Built-in Audio Player
Both the RiverScript web application and desktop client include a built-in audio player. It can be used to play audio files that have been uploaded or recorded by the user. The player provides play, pause, and seek functionality.
Please note that audio files stored on RiverScript servers are automatically deleted after 7 days of storage. Once an audio file has been deleted, the player becomes unavailable for that specific recording. To avoid this limitation, it is recommended to use the desktop client when creating transcripts, as it stores audio files both on the server and locally. Local files are not automatically deleted and remain available until the user manually removes them from their device.
In addition, if the user chooses to generate a transcript with timestamps, clicking a timestamp in the editor will automatically seek the audio player to the corresponding position in the recording and start playback from that point. This makes transcript editing more convenient.
Similarly, if the user generates an AI Summary using the AI (Summarize & Ask) window, the model also generates Key Moments with clickable timestamps. Clicking one of these timestamps automatically seeks the audio player to the relevant part of the recording. Key Moments timestamps are approximate and do not provide the same level of accuracy as subtitle timestamps, which can be enabled before transcription.
