Desktop client

The RiverScript desktop client is available for Windows 10 and later, as well as macOS 13 Ventura and later. It can be downloaded from the download page.

The desktop client includes all the features available in the web application, along with the exclusive Live Recording Transcription function. This capability can only operate locally on the user’s device and allows RiverScript to capture and transcribe audio from any application directly through the system audio output.

The desktop client offers a significantly more convenient way to work with RiverScript. It supports files up to 50 GB in size — compared to the 1 GB limit of the web application — and operates 3 to 5 times faster. This performance advantage comes from being built with the high-performance Rust programming language and executing most operations locally on the user’s computer, eliminating the need to upload files to a server.

Both the web application and the desktop client use the same underlying technologies for speech transcription and AI functions.
