Transcribe Files (audio/video)

RiverScript supports transcription of audio and video files in most common formats. The full list of supported formats can be found here: Supported file formats.

Depending on the application (the RiverScript web application or the RiverScript Desktop client), the maximum supported file size varies: up to 1 GB in the web application and up to 50 GB in the Desktop client. The maximum permitted file duration is 8 hours.

The RiverScript Desktop client generally provides a faster workflow because files are decoded locally on the user’s computer into an optimized lightweight format. Only the resulting MP3 file is then uploaded to the server. For example, uploading and processing a one-hour video in the web application over a slow internet connection may take up to an hour, while the same task in the RiverScript Desktop client can be completed in approximately five minutes. The difference in processing speed is negligible for smaller audio files.

Speaker diarization is available only for the Premium Sync Model.
