Batch & bulk transcription tool for audio and video files. Transcribe as many MP3, MP4, M4A, and other files as you need

Transcribe as many files at once as you need

Need to transcribe several audio files at once? Create subtitles for videos or get text transcriptions of multiple TikTok and Youtube videos, or Instagram Reels at once? You’re in the right place. RiverScript has no limit on the number of files, even on the free plan, and can transcribe multiple files at once using AI. You can do this either with the web app, which you’ll find right on the website via this link, or with the lightning-fast desktop app for Windows and Mac, available on the downloads page.

How does it work?

RiverScript has no limit on the number of files you can transcribe, including on the free plan. If you’ve used other transcription apps before and encountered, for example, TurboScribe file limits or Otter file limits, RiverScript’s capabilities may surprise you. It’s an app for truly powerful AI file transcription, allowing you to transcribe any number of huge files – up to 50 GB each and up to 8 hours long. This is available for both audio files and video files in a wide range of formats, including common ones such as MP3, WAV, MP4, and M4A, as well as rare ones such as OGG, Opus, and WebM.

To transcribe files with bulk transcription, simply drag your files into the app and drop them in the file upload area. Each file will be transcribed, and you’ll be able to open each one in the editor and edit it while listening to the synchronized audio in the player. You can also save them as PDF, TXT, and DOCX files, or as SRT and VTT files if you created subtitles with timecodes, which must be selected beforehand in the Result section on the same screen.

Which audio and video formats does RiverScript transcribe?

RiverScript converts hundreds of audio and video formats to text. This is possible because RiverScript uses the open FFmpeg library to decode files. If you want to see all the formats, you can find the full list in the FFmpeg documentation. Here, we’ll provide a short list of formats that have definitely been tested by our team and our users. RiverScript’s capabilities are not limited to this list.

Audio formats:

  • MP3, WAV, AMR, FLAC, WMA, AAC, OGG, Opus, M4A, AIFF, M4B, M4A, ALAC, APE, WavPack, AC3

Video formats:

  • MP4, MPEG, MKV, MOV, AVI, WMV, FLV, M4V, WebM, 3GP, VOB, TS/MTS

By the way, if you find that RiverScript doesn’t yet support the format you need, send a request to our support team, and we’ll try to add support for it!

RiverScript Desktop client – the best choice for working with files and enterprise transcription

Keep in mind that if the browser version of the app doesn’t accept the format you need, we recommend trying to transcribe it in the desktop app. The browser version of the app is subject to restrictions imposed by the browser itself. For example, it may not recognize your rare file format as a media file. Our desktop app doesn’t have these limitations because it runs directly on your system. It also transcribes three to five times faster on average and can transcribe large video files of up to 50 GB dozens of times faster than any browser-based solution because the app doesn’t need to upload the full files to the internet – it does most of the work directly on your device.
